Gina X
Greatest Fits
𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙁𝙞𝙩𝙨 compiles key works from the cult catalogue of Gina X Performance, the German electro-art project led by vocalist Gina Kikoine and producer Zeus B. Held. Released by Dark Entries, the collection spans 1979 to 1984, pulling together tracks from across their four albums into a singular statement of icy glamour and radical pop experimentation.
From the deadpan spoken word of “No G.D.M.” to the mechanical funk of “Vendor’s Box” and synth-laced disco of “Ciao Caruso,” these songs blend Neue Deutsche Welle attitude with disco minimalism, queer futurism, and cabaret detachment. The vocal delivery is part performance art, part punk provocation—always deliberate, always strange.
This reissue doesn’t just preserve the legacy, it sharpens its focus: a cold, seductive world of analogue electronics, androgynous presence, and calculated detours into the absurd. Decades later, it still sounds like the future.
