Planet Trip delivers a curveball with this new EP from Munich mainstays Rhode & Brown, known for their work on Shall Not Fade, Public Possession, and their own Slam City Jams. On *Aqua Terra*, the duo downshift into slow jam territory, drawing from UK street soul, ‘80s R&B, and digi-dub culture. Vocal features by Marlena Dae on “Heart Attack” and “Passion Sauce” bring melodic warmth and retro-futurist flair, balancing perfectly with the bass-driven “Acid Frog Mix” and warped breakbeat closer.
“Longo Doggo” and “Multiflora” tap into dusty turntablism, rubbery post-disco and dub-drenched textures that hint at Rhythm & Sound, Loose Ends, and early 4Hero. A genre-hopping yet cohesive set that offers something for warmups, cool-downs, and odd-hour dancefloors alike.
