First issued in 2013 with up to 19 tracks, including remixes, this 2025 edition is reduced to the six core originals and intently focussed on Hitchell’s melds of elusive dreampop x dub house, deftly rendered with texturally lush ambient abstraction. Embarking with the thizzed out ephemera smudged into heavy trodding bliss on ‘luna petra’ - think Rhythm & Sound meets Tri Angle - it registers the immense dub house pressure of ‘clouds beyond’ and its breathtaking expansion ‘beyond the clouds [second to forever live mix]’, in sequence with the diffused dust dance of ‘i s i s [reimagained]’, a sparkling ode to Juan Atkins & Moritz Von Oswald’s ‘Starlight’ in ‘beyond the starlit skies’, and the heartical beatdown skank of ‘sella bay’ all ready to wrap yourself up in this winter.
