Released on **R.I.O. (RIO19)**, the Berlin-based duo of **Nadia DโAlรฒ** and **Benedikt Frey** push deeper into their unique hybrid of experimental club deconstruction and noirish songwriting. Itโs not trip hop, not RโnโB, not dub or tranceโbut some bleached and beautifully warped echo of all those things.
DโAlรฒโs voice flickers through the hazeโsometimes cooed, sometimes buriedโwhile Freyโs production toys with texture, pacing, and atmosphere like a half-erased memory. The result is strangely cinematic, like a sun-warped photo of an empty pool party in a forgotten suburb.
Think Fever Ray scoring a David Lynch freeway scene, or Portishead lost in a Berlin warehouse. *POOL JAMS* is all feeling, all fog, and impossible to pin downโjust how it should be.
