Released on **R.I.O. (RIO19)**, the Berlin-based duo of **Nadia D’Alò** and **Benedikt Frey** push deeper into their unique hybrid of experimental club deconstruction and noirish songwriting. It’s not trip hop, not R’n’B, not dub or trance—but some bleached and beautifully warped echo of all those things.

D’Alò’s voice flickers through the haze—sometimes cooed, sometimes buried—while Frey’s production toys with texture, pacing, and atmosphere like a half-erased memory. The result is strangely cinematic, like a sun-warped photo of an empty pool party in a forgotten suburb.

Think Fever Ray scoring a David Lynch freeway scene, or Portishead lost in a Berlin warehouse. *POOL JAMS* is all feeling, all fog, and impossible to pin down—just how it should be.
