Opening with Pronsatoβs *Above the Launderette (ManiΓ¨res Bizarres Mix)*, the A-side unfurls a noirish, molasses-paced track that fuses Perlon-esque microhouse detailing with languid afterhours jazz atmospheres. Shimmering textures and submerged groove mechanics give the piece an unsettling calm, like a late-night walk through a fogged-out Berlin street.
On the flip, RomΓ©o Poirierβs *Thalassocratie* delivers a submerged world of brushed horns, warped tape loops and aqueous pacing. With nods to Jon Hassellβs 4th world concepts and the textural sleight of hand of artists like Eli Keszler or Andrew Pekler, it's quietly disorienting and deeply immersive.
Memotone closes with *The Way In(side)*, a meditative glide through hushed ambient jazz, where ripples of woodwinds, spectral percussion and dissolving harmonic lines offer a kind of sylvan introspectionβat once spacious and tactile, rooted and drifting.
A gorgeous, slow-release listen for followers of sferic, Faitiche, or Meakusma, this record inhabits the hush between ambient, jazz, and minimal electronics. Unassuming yet rich in detail.
