Crafted over five years, this album finds keiyaA expanding her boundary-breaking blend of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, electronics, and experimental soul. It documents a nonlinear path toward self-love, confronting anger, desire, disappointment, inherited expectation and the complexities of Black womanhood with unguarded honesty. There is no neat resolution here — only multiplicity, contradiction, and a refusal to be flattened for anyone’s comfort.

The album echoes themes explored in her recent Brooklyn stage work milk thot: self-interrogation as liberation, identity as both ritual and revision.
