Armando Santiago
Música Intuitiva
𝙈𝙪́𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖 documents a series of improvised pieces by Portuguese composer Armando Santiago, originally recorded between 1973 and 1974. Built from acoustic and electroacoustic instrumentation, the recordings explore spontaneous composition as both method and philosophy.
Rather than fixed structures, the music unfolds through gesture, resonance, and momentary interplay—sometimes sparse, sometimes tense, always grounded in real-time decision making. Piano, percussion, strings, and electronics interact without hierarchy, allowing texture and timing to emerge freely.
Grama’s edition brings this work to vinyl for the first time, restoring an overlooked chapter of experimental music in Portugal. Not a historical curiosity, but a living record of risk, listening, and deliberate unstructure.
