Originally self-released on cassette, this is a lo-fi dub odyssey filtered through bedroom experimentation and punk attitude. Lindo, aka Andy Rantzen of Pelican Daughters and Itch-E & Scratch-E, blends the weight of King Tubby and Scientist with strange FX, DIY electronics, and sharp-edged political intent.
More abstract and skeletal than traditional roots dub, the album explores delay and echo as compositional tools, warping time and space across tape-saturated atmospheres. Tracks like โDub The Worldโ and โDrifting Dubโ feel as informed by post-punk minimalism as they are by sound system culture.
Reissued by EM Records with remastered audio and new liner notes, this LP remains a singular vision from the Australian underground โ as raw, forward-thinking, and boundary-pushing now as it was over 30 years ago. A crucial artifact in the history of outsider dub.
