Soul Jazz Records are releasing this compilation as two separate double vinyls, telling the story of the evolution of house and acid in Chicago and how a number of creative artists from the city developed a sound that came to influence the world.
The compilation features all the major artists from the city, on the first 2LP from the originators like Marshall Jefferson, DJ Pierre, Adonis and Larry Heard to second wave artists like Roy Davis Jnr, artists who continue to make Chicago a unique musical environment today.
