Rather than approaching songs like “Easy Living” or “Body and Soul” through conventional jazz structures, Toral reshapes them into spacious and suspended compositions where chords stretch into long tonal events. Combining guitar, sine waves, feedback and self-built electronic devices, the album creates an atmosphere that feels both intimate and otherworldly.

Guest appearances from José Bruno Parrinha, Rodrigo Amado, Yaw Tembe and Clara Saleiro bring moments of warmth and improvisation into the record’s drifting harmonic landscape. Blending jazz tradition with experimental sound design, Traveling Light continues Toral’s singular exploration of space, resonance and musical time.
