The Sabres Of Paradise
Sabresonic
𝘼 𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙤𝙛 1990𝙨 𝙪𝙠 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘, Sabresonic by The Sabres Of Paradise returns in a newly remastered 2025 reissue on Warp Records, reaffirming its reputation as one of Andrew Weatherall’s most visionary works.
Originally released in 1993, the album blended dub, ambient techno and industrial textures into a sound that was both psychedelic and dancefloor-focused, embodying Weatherall’s restless creativity with Jagz Kooner and Gary Burns. Tracks like “Still Fighting” and the hypnotic “Smokebelch” became cult favourites, blurring the line between rave energy and cinematic atmosphere.
This new edition brings sharper clarity and renewed depth to a record that has only grown in stature, a timeless document of the UK underground’s ability to reinvent itself and push boundaries. Sabresonic remains as vital and transportive now as it did over three decades ago.
