Born from pandemic-era sessions, the album trades club pressure for a rich blend of krautrock drift, ambient layers, and subtle Fourth World textures. Guitar, clarinet, tar, and live drums (played by Hรถppner himself) stretch the palette into warm, organic terrain, where each track feels more like a space to inhabit than a linear statement.
Crafted slowly over several years, with parts recorded and reworked between Berlin and Tokyo, The Big Melt is introspective without being fragile, expansive without showboating. A clear-eyed and quietly bold reinvention from two artists finding new ground โ together.
