During a Stockholm event curated by Bukva Soundβs Bojan βBoj Luckiβ, Gustav Ejstes β widely known for his role in the revered psychedelic rock group Dungen β revealed an unexpected side of his musical world. His DJ set stood out for its assured vinyl mixing, adventurous selections, and a series of jungle and hardcore tracks that felt both fresh and deeply informed. It later emerged that several of these standout cuts were his own productions, previously unheard outside of the night itself.
A subsequent visit to Ejstesβ home studio confirmed the depth of this parallel output: raw yet detailed jungle tracks shaped with the same confidence and curiosity that define his work elsewhere. With encouragement from those involved and support from his long-standing connection to the Future Retro London orbit, the decision was made to bring these recordings into the open.
The result is a rare glimpse into an alternate creative channel from an artist better known in another sphere β a release born from shared respect, chance encounters, and a mutual love of underground music culture, completed with artwork by The Tribes and collaborative support from Ejstesβ close circle.
