Released in 1994, it encapsulates the signature Idjut Boys aesthetic: loose, hypnotic grooves built from deep bass, dubbed-out percussion, and playful, spacey studio trickery. Working with their longtime collaborator Laj, the duo stretch dance music’s parameters, crafting an unhurried, smoked-out groove that straddles deep house, cosmic disco, and sound system experimentation.

“Outhouse” became a defining track for the London leftfield club scene — raw, spacious, and irresistibly psychedelic — setting the tone for a label and a production partnership that would go on to inspire a generation of disco editors and dub-house producers worldwide.
