Jamal’s trio brings intimacy to the forefront — everything spacious, melodic, and anchored in nuance. “Time on My Hands” and “Star Eyes” are stretched out with care, while “All of You” becomes a showcase of understatement as power.

Originally released on Argo and now reissued by Honey Pie Records, this is one of those live jazz albums that feels like being inside the room.
