Produced by Mark Ernestus and Moritz von Oswald, this second Burial Mix compilation focuses on the instrumental “versions” of the series, where the absence of vocals places full emphasis on bass weight, delay, space and subtle rhythmic shifts. The tracks drift between minimal techno and roots dub, unfolding slowly with a hypnotic, meditative flow.

Following the vocal-focused showcase centered around collaborations with Paul St. Hilaire, this counterpart collects the instrumental cuts from the same period, alongside “Mash Down Babylon”, a reworking of “March Down Babylon”. The result is a deeper dive into the system-driven aesthetics that define the project.

Part of the wider Basic Channel universe, including the M series, Chain Reaction and Rhythm & Sound Versions stands as a key document of dub techno, where reduction, repetition and space become the central elements.
