Ana Frango Elétrico
Mormaço Queima

Originally self-released in 2018 and brimming with lo-fi charm, this first full-length captures Ana's irreverent blend of MPB, Tropicália, indie rock and punk-funk with an ease that belies its experimental core. It's rough around the edges in all the right ways—full of shifts, surprise turns, and a youthful confidence that would come to define Ana’s genre-eluding trajectory.
Tracks like *No Bico do Mamilo* and *Roxo* flirt with chaos and control, weaving trombone riffs, tape hiss, and distorted guitars into something unmistakably personal. *Picles*, the album’s longest cut, stretches from scrappy funk into psychedelic unraveling, while opener *Farelos* builds from fragments into form with a disarming looseness.
Co-produced with an extended crew of Rio underground players (including Thiago Nassif and Marcelo Callado), *Mormaço Queima* feels like a house show, a diary, and a manifesto rolled into one. It marks the roots of a truly original voice in contemporary Brazilian music—now rightly reissued for a global audience.
