Lone Ark Riddim Force
Baay Faal Dub
𝘼 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙨 𝙙𝙪𝙗 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, Baay Faal Dub presents Lone Ark Riddim Force under the direction of Roberto Sánchez, reimagining the material from Shanti Yalah’s Friends of the One in a stripped, atmospheric and fully analog style.
Recorded and mixed at A-Lone Ark Muzik Studio in Santander, the album reflects Sánchez’s meticulous ear for detail, layering bass, drums and keys with horn lines, percussion and subtle vocal fragments to create a coherent dub journey. The band’s live instrumentation gives the record a warmth and presence that connects European craftsmanship with Jamaican roots tradition.
Rather than functioning as simple versions, these dubs stand on their own as immersive soundscapes, balancing heavy rhythm foundations with space and texture. The interplay between instrumental depth and studio mixing craft makes the album both powerful on sound systems and captivating in close listening.
Baay Faal Dub confirms Lone Ark Riddim Force’s place as one of the most accomplished dub outfits of today, carrying forward the classic foundations while expanding the possibilities of roots music in the modern era.
