Mixed by longtime collaborator I:Cube, the album constantly shifts between organic and electronic textures. “Hà Mar” stands out as one of its warmest moments, blending Brazilian-inspired percussion and melody with vocals and guitar from Alvaro Lancellotti, while “White Light” moves into a more synthetic and melodic territory with Swedish singer Monica Tormell.

Throughout the record, Gilb’R works alongside musicians including Quentin Rollet, Maxime Delpierre, Judah Warsky, Jonny Nash, Ben Shemie and percussionists Julio and Julinho Pimentel, building a fluid and exploratory sound that reflects the open identity of Versatile Records itself. Conceived between Amsterdam and Paris, L’École de la nuit functions both as a collaborative studio album and as a celebration of the label’s long-running boundary-crossing approach to music.
