Maro

So Much Has Changed

Born in Portugal and raised in a family that cherished music, Maro naturally aspired to become a musician after being exposed to music from a young age. Since releasing her album “MARO, Vol. 1” in 2018, she has achieved new milestones: winning the 2022 International Portuguese Music Award, representing Portugal at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, collaborating with artists such as Eric Clapton and Jacob Collier, supporting tours for Shawn Mendes and Jessie J, and appearing on platforms including NPR Tiny Desk, Mahogany Sessions, COLORS.

Her new English album, “So Much Has Changed”, is a ten-track project that is candid, relatable, and soothing to the listener. Lyrically, the songs explore themes of self-love, heartbreak, realisation, liberation, and emotional conflict. While deeply emotional, the album also feels like a companion for listeners' daily lives – whether preparing mentally, going for a drive, or enjoying a dance. This demonstrates Maro's ability to seamlessly blend introspection and pop without being confined to a single category.

It appears she independently pressed records for her previous work, Hortelã (2024), though these were primarily sold at tour venues and not widely distributed. This release is also expected to be a limited stock, so early reservation and purchase is recommended!
