PVAS is an alias of Jordan Juras, who also runs as half of NUG with Florian TM Zeisig, and as available on computers with Dylan Kerr for shyโs 3XL. His โSlipstreamโ flexes in wake of Kapselaโs killer Gyrofield 12โ with a finely contoured aerodynamic over six parts that we could easily imagine featuring in one of Objektโs lauded, poly-genre and BPM scaling DJ sets. And it also works dead well as sort of 30 minute mini-album in its own right, thanks to its sequencing and variegation of style and pattern.
The cotton candied ambient thizz of opener โGathering Driftโ and pearlescent ambient-pop wist of its titular closer give the album a proper start and finish, whilst the main body twists out some of his most striking club tekkerz. He approaches โParallel Universeโ-era 4 Hero levels of devilish breakbeat ballistics on โTerminalโ, and threads the breaks in a tighter wormhole like prime Jega reworking Gescomโs โPuzlโ, bu with up-to-the-second fractals in โWetlandsโ, before trimming back to a writhing electro-techno hydraulics on โRippedโ and easing off into something like Dolo Percussion meets Objekt on โBobaโ.
