Founded by รlvaro Lancellotti, Karla da Silva, Sara Cabral, Juninho Ibituruna and Bartolo, the ensemble weaves together sacred percussion, call-and-response chants, claps, and subtle electronic layers to create a sound that is both deeply rooted and forward-looking. Their music serves as a powerful dialogue between ancestral memory and modern creativity, evoking the vibrancy and spirituality of the terreiro while resonating with contemporary audiences.
The EPโs sonic palette is further enriched by contributions from longtime collaborator Domenico Lancellotti, who adds intricate MPC textures, and founding member Joana Egypto, whose distinctive terreiro-inspired vocals add a profound depth. A highlight is the participation of a womenโs choir from the terreiro, whose voices lend an additional layer of authenticity and spiritual resonance to the project.
