By this albumโs first issue, in 1993, Dub Syndicate were a decade deep in their stride as ON-Uโs go-to guys, variously laying down rhythms for loads of other artists and ploughing their own run of heavily dubbed out, (mostly) instrumental albums, of which this one is widely considered a class example.
Lee โScratchโ Perry appears on a digitally spring highlight โDubbing Psycho Killerโ, and the voice of thunder Prince Far I menaces from beyond in the sampled voice lodged on the dread-toned โ93 Struggleโ, beside The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy vocalist, Michael Frantiโs bubbling bars registered on โNo Noโ. It all sounds very much of its era, and most charmingly in the sampledelic cut-up collage โ2001 Loveโ, and the wicked digi-dub of its titular sign off.
