Released in the mid-1980s on the influential Mr. Disc Organization imprint, the second IMS album pushes further into a futuristic sound world where electro, synth-pop and disco collide. Machine-driven rhythms and shimmering melodies power the record forward, while vocodered voices and cinematic atmospheres lend it a distinctly sci-fi aura — a reflection of Italy’s forward-looking club culture at the time.

"Vol. 2" captures the group at their creative peak, bridging the gap between European dancefloor traditions and the emerging wave of electronic experimentation that would go on to influence house, techno, and electro scenes worldwide. A timeless Italo essential that still sounds fresh decades later.
