Gal Costa E Caetano Veloso

Two independent giants within MPB began their careers together in 1967. On Domingo, the influence of bossa nova is clearly audible, but the repertoire consisted entirely of newly written material — a major step away from traditional songs. Moreover, the soft voices of Caetano Veloso and Gal Costa were not singing about the sandy shores of Ipanema, but carried a political charge.
