On their third album, vocalist Juçara Marçal, saxophonist Thiago França, and guitarist Kiko Dinucci craft a sound that is both raw and transcendent — deeply rooted in Candomblé rhythms and Afro-diasporic traditions, yet fearless in its embrace of punk energy, free jazz dissonance, and psychedelic textures. The result is a record that feels like a ritual in motion: fiercely percussive, emotionally charged, and constantly evolving.
*MM3* is as much an invocation as it is an album — a bold, uncompromising statement that channels resistance, memory, and devotion through a sonic language uniquely Metá Metá’s own. It’s a vital document of contemporary Brazilian music that bridges the ancestral and the avant-garde with electrifying results.
